The Bosch GLM 40 is the latest tool I bought for my home remodeling project. It is a laser measure that was recommended to me at the store and I am extremely excited to use it. And in my opinion it was totally worth the purchase. Here are my thoughts about the device and what I have learned about it!
Bosch GLM 40 Review
What I like about the Bosch GLM 40 is how compact it is. It's so small at 4.3 x 1.6 x 1 ". Fits perfect inside pockets as well! Plus it's so easy to use. There are only 5 buttons on it so you do not have to worry about pushing the wrong buttons either. Especially since you just need one button to measure!
It also comes with a handy little pouch! It's attached to a velco belt loop, which is so nice to hold the laser measure. Just attach it to your belt and I immediately feel like a professional construction worker! So nice!
But as I mentioned before, I bought it for my home remodelling project. And I might have gone a bit overboard with this one to be honest. The Bosch GLM 40 can measure a distance up to 135 feet !! And it keeps the accuracy at 1/16 ". Which according to my research, is pretty much the standard among high quality lasers.
But still, 135 feet is so long and more than enough than I needed. However I did get a really good deal as it was a refurbished model. So even if I need to measure something outside, I know that I won't have any problems with distance!
Besides that, the laser measure also has some interesting features. For example, it can calculate the size of an area and a volume.But it can also solve Pythagoras theorem to get the lengths of diagonals. Which is really necessary in home remodeling in my opinion!
Conclusion
Overall I'm extremely happy with the Bosch GLM 40! It may be a bit too much for me, but at least I will never run into trouble with distances. I also really like the size of it as it does not take up any space and I can carry it everywhere I go. I already know that it will be so handy for all the future home projects I'll have!
